Methods of Payment

Payment is due 24-hours before your scheduled service appointment. Cash, debit, and credit card payments are accepted.

Our practice is a self-pay practice. Dr. Mir does not participate on any insurance panels and is therefore considered an out-of-network provider. As a courtesy to our clients, upon request, we will gladly provide you with a “Superbill” so that you can submit it to your insurance provider.

If you plan to submit a reimbursement request to your insurance company, it is important to know your insurance company’s rules and requirements, as well as your particular benefits and limits, as plans vary widely. Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, some services may be covered in full or in part.

Please be aware that not all services are covered by insurance plans. For instance, most plans do not cover educational testing to diagnose learning disorders. Many plans require pre-authorization for psychological and neuropsychological testing and limit the allowable number of hours of testing. If you would like to get reimbursement from your insurance provider, we strongly encourage you to contact your insurance company prior to initiating services.

Cancellation Policy

The practice has a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you do not cancel within this timeframe, you will be responsible for the session fee. This is a standard psychotherapy practice.
